Divine Service in Koindu
On Sunday, 15th December, 2024, Apostle (Ap) Leno conducted a Divine Service in Koindu Congregation, at 10:00 am. The Bible text was taken from Matthew 25: 6-7.
Lead Apostle Leno reminds members about the period of Advent as believers wait for the bridegroom of their souls.
The wise virgins represent believers who exercise patience, pray diligently, show love, care for others and attend Divine Services always; preparing their souls for the return of Jesus Christ. The lamp (light) represents the power of the Holy spirit in us. Kerosene for the lamp represents the willingness to serve the Lord. However, the foolish virgins represent those that conform to the riches of this World and are careless about eternity. The Lead Ap admonishes congregants to continue preparing themselves for the return of Jesus Christ!
Assisting Ministers: District Elder Sahr David Baker and Ap Thaimu Kargbo – added that Christians should always examine themselves for righteousness. Additional Bible reference: Revelation 19:7. Local hymns in Kissy were joyfully sung, with an attendance of about 450
