It’s an absolute joy for young people to gather to celebrate their incredible potential and unique talents. Encouragement to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and support one another; to be surrounded by positivity and never underestimate the power of a kind word or a helping hand for spiritual growth. Sunday, the 1st December, 2024
The divine service started at 10 am and the text word was out of Zechariah 9:9 - Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, O Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
While thanking every one for coming for the convention, Ap. Kargbo welcomed all to the first Sunday service in advent. He remarked that there was need for expansion of the church building which could no longer accommodate big congregation.
Youths have been showing their talents with funs in the fellowship but was key to get God's blessings and will from the divine service. We look forward to the coming of the King of Zion, Jesus Christ whose goal is preparing humanity for salvation but people misunderstood His kingship for this world instead – My Kingdom is not of this world...
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord and Revelation 19:7 - Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready; were supporting references.
Apostle admonished all to listen to God’s word, do them, follow the teachings of the apostolate and trust in the sacraments. Let’s be ready for His second coming; by preparing the bridal congregations consequently to become the priesthood. They will reign with Him to establish the kingdom of peace. People have different notions for Christmas but let’s serve and love to demonstrate the teachings of Jesus in advent.
Assisting Ministers were Dev. Emmanuel Saffa Musa, Priest Abdulai Kenawah Sannoh from Freetown and Priest Aiah Manga from Kono.
