Apostle Kargbo cutting the ribbon to enter church
12 November 2024

Apostle Thaimu Kargbo dedicated a newly built church in his working area

It is always a joyful moment for members to have a new church building, having endured in makeshift structure for a long time.
The dedication and divine service was on the 20th October 2024 at Peyima congregation, Kamara Chiefdom, Kono district, East of Sierra Leone; which started at 12pm.

After prayer, cutting of ribbon by Apostle; he declared the church opened for members and guests to enter in for the service.

Bible text was out of 1st King 6:12 – “Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgements, keep all My commandments and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David…”

Applicational thoughts:

  • Building a church is a huge task that required dedication. Similarly, committing to our personal goals or helping others can bring us closer to our purpose.
  • Keeping God's commands in mind means staying true to the values and promises.
  • The promise given to David is fulfilled because of continued effort and faith. Even when challenges arise, continuing to move forward with hope and resilience can lead to fulfilling our own dreams and promises.
  • Considering the promises and commitments we've made to God, others and ourselves would help reflect on how we can honor these in our daily actions to achieve the goal of salvation.

John 14:23 – Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him…; and Isaiah 26:9 – With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness; were additional texts to buttress the sermon
Assisting Ministers were District Evangelist Ngadie Ngakie and Priest Richard Sorgbeh. Four Deacons were ordained and many souls were sealed with an attendance of about 530 in and out of the new church.
