District Apostle and other Apostles welcome at Makeni church entrance
12 January 2024

Central Church of the Northern City of Makeni received the District Apostle Michael Ehrich, Lead Apostle Hans-Jurgen Bauer, and ten West African Apostles.

On Saturday, the 9th of December 2023, the two Apostles from South Germany together with the West African Apostles travelled from Freetown to Makeni; about 176 km from Freetown. The service started by 11am.

Matthew 20:28 - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Was the text word.

Here is an extract of the sermon:
God loves us even in sorrows - problems of hardship, sickness etc. Jesus prays for God to protect and help us in the world, as choir sings – God loves us all.

There is greatness in serving and reigning with Christ but only those who God accepts will be in His glory. We have to serve with special positions / responsibilities, like Chief Apostle, District Apostle etc., and not to be served. We are the same/equal before God and anyone who wants to be great should be the servant. We do not therefore reign/rule over others but like Christ with reference to:

Rev. 22:5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

We serve and love like parents do their baby / true love of couples. We honor and praise God with talents as singers, trumpeters, soul care tasks and offering/sacrifice. God sees everyone even when others don’t see the work.

Let’s proclaim the gospel with open heart and love for everyone and should never misuse/defect the ministry. No one should feel rejected as we prepare the bridal congregation to inherit heaven, form part of the marriage feast and reign with Christ for 1000 years of peace.

Apostle Jacques Conde of Guinea mentions problems of the world emanating from sin. He admonishes to align our thoughts/actions with the gospel and avoid evil - of witchcraft and idol worship particularly.

Lead Apostle Bauer, who would retire in the near future, appreciates fellowship in God’s house. Reminding of man’s imperfections but assures of forgiveness after repentance in church. We practice His word / will revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. We come to God with inner connection, trust and obey Him to overcome affliction/sin so as to have a place heaven, not Makeni, New York etc.

It was a nice and blessed experience with 12 living Apostles, retired Apostle Sesay and host of church ministers in Makeni. Over 670 attended the service in which some district Ministers were retired, appointed and assigned.
