Retirement / ordination at Freetown Central church, Women fellowship at Lumley, Youth fellowship at Margay Town and Goderich choir concert at SOS school hall, were events of last Sunday.

Four congregations of West Central District of Freetown had invited members and guests to grace their pleasant / dedicated programs of ordination / retirement, fellowship and musical concert on Sunday, 12th November, 2023.

In the Morning
Apostle Braima Saffa was accompanied by District Evangelist Alfred Benson Sesay (the District Rector) and Priest Abdulai Kenawah Sannoh (District Rector Delegate) to Central church of Freetown. The service started at 10:00 am.; the test word was out of Revelation 22:17 - And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

The sermons reminds congregants about the last days of God’s salvation plan through Jesus Christ. The  braidal congregation should be ready for the eminent return of Jesus. Apostle Saffa admonishes against wichedness, evil, corruption and violence, which do not conform to salvation. Jesus Christ can  take away the burdens / afflictions of mankind with the offer of free gift of the fountain of life. There is a caring call to come to the life giving fountain...One’s perception, utterance and actions should be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit.‘‘ Arise and let’s hasten...‘‘

At Midday
Apostle and other ministers came to Lumley congregation to share the joy in the women‘s fellowship. The agenda included: message addressing women’s role in church development, a drama about Ruth and Naomi and launching bench renovation project; were key amongst the activities of the occasion.

Marjay town church also had a wonderful youth fellowship, with lectures on youth radical inclusion in manning the affairs of the church and their communities, couple with doctrine knowledge..

In the evening
Apostles Braima Saffa, Abu Tamba Bangura and church ministers were in the audience to enjoy the musical concert of Goderich choir. The mixed choir of suprano, alto, tenor and bass of dynamic and young/old choiristers, were accompanied by brass and live band performace.

Apostle Saffa pray and blessed the concert, Priest Samuel Christopherson Nicol welcomed all and presented the choir composition, the church  main Ministries of Deacon, Priest and Apostle, read the vision and mission and together with audience read the projected ten articles of faith of the New Apostolic church. Priest Charlie King Jr conducted and the newly ordained Priest Gerald Massasorie Sesay moderated the musical concert to God glory of God.

It was indeed a very cheerful / consecrated day for congregations of West Central District of Freetown.
