Newly ordained Apostle Abu Tamba Bangura has been welcome in his congregation – Kissy, one of the biggest congregations in the East of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

It was a wonderful/blessed day at Kissy as members welcome one of them who started as Choir Master and later the Rector of the congregation. He was lastly assigned as Deputy District Rector of East Kissy district. The Community Evangelist was recently ordained Apostle in Conakry, Guinea by District Apostle Michael Ehrich on 7th August 2022.

The membership of Kissy congregation decided to organize a welcoming service for his arrival. On the 14th August 2022, at 9:50 am, the Sunday school awaited the arrival of their special guest. As they stood waiting in joy, there came Apostle Abu Tamba Bangura. The Sunday school children sang a song and presented a bouquet of flower to him.

Apostle Braima Saffa conducted the divine service and he prayed for the church membership, the country and for those in need. He cited a scripture from Ephesian 4:25-27 – Therefore each of you must put off the falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In every anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry and do no give the devil a foothold.

He explained the importance of being together, working as a team and not lying to one another. He also admonished the congregants on the violent protest in the country; advising that no New Apostolic Church member should participate in any form of violence. Apostle Bangura served along and he also encouraged members to work for God, which he would recompense.

After the service, there were presentations from the Sunday school, youth and choir. Two of the guests were asked to present gift to Apostle Bangura. The program ended with happy fellowship
