Service for the departed, by Apostle Sanpha Sesay, on the 6th March, 2022, at Bumbumna congregation, Tonkolili District, North of Sierra Leone.
Text word: John 10:16: “And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.”
Apostle expresses that we should serve God in faith and with humility. The dead need our intercessions for God’s grace. Service for the departed is divine amnesty for our loved ones in the beyond. Through Christ’s unique sacrifice, freedom is procured from captivity. Christ will grant both the dead and living the feast of grace at the first resurrection.
Christians should be holy and act according to the gospel. Let’s be sheep of the good shepherd and stay in the flock until His return, for the salvation of the bridal congregation.
Community Evangelist Turay John James, whilst assisting, mentions for all to pray for the dead because we also rely on the intercession of others.
The congregants, about 242 glorify God by singing local songs in Limba joyfully. What a day of fellowship with the lord Jesus who takes way our sins, even the dead.
In another development and on the same day, Apostle Saa Marc Leno from Guinea, accompanied by District Evangelist Samuel Hayfron of Liberia, also conducted similar service at the Lumley congregation, West of Freetown.
