District Apostle and the Apostles are welcomed
5 July 2016

The members waited with curiosity the District Apostle and Leading Apostle Bauer, who were coming by Road from Conakry, where he had conducted similar service on Sunday 29th May 2016. The service started at 3:00 P.M. and he read a text word out of Romans 6: 8-9.
“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him”
He assured the congregation that through Holy Baptism and Sealing, we die with Jesus Christ – die to sin with him. He furthered that it is impossible to live without sinning as humans but it is very essential to fight against and resist sin. If we die with Jesus Christ, Satan has no entitlement against us. With rebirth, we are new creature and if we obey and follow Jesus, spiritual death will have no dominion over us.
He told the congregants that the Divine Service is important because of God’s word and the Holy Communion – the essence of Jesus Christ is received to keep the new life in us going and growing.
He mentioned salient points relative to our relationship with God and our neighbor; ensuring it means we practice justice and forgiveness – Mtth. 18: 21-22, love like the good Samaritan, to be interested in Church activities, brothers and sisters especially those who have gone astray, bringing our offerings and sacrifices, invest our gifts in God’s work, give testimonies of our faith and to put the goal of our faith in the centre point of our life.
About 900 participants attended the service, with the 3 Apostles/2 Bishops of Sierra Leone, 1 Apostle of Guinea and 1/only Apostle of Liberia. 3 District Elders were ordained (2 from Sierra Leone and 1 from Liberia), 13 District Evangelists (8 from Sierra Leone and 5 from Liberia), a Shepherd and a Community Evangelist from Liberia were also ordained in the service. It was a blessed moment!
On the 1st of June, the Leading Apostle – Hans-Jorgen Bauer held a conference with Apostles/Bishops of Sierra Leone, Guinea – 1 Apostle and Liberia – 1 Apostle. In this conference he launched the New Apostolic Church Sierra Leone Website.
At 6:00 P.M same day, he conducted a divine service in the Central Church of Freetown with about 200 children of God and he read a text out of Psalm: 97:11
“Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart”
