Apostle Garber addressing the youths
30 September 2016

After orchestra / choir display that morning, Apostle Garber prayed and read a text out of 1 Samuel 17: 42 and 45:
"And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking; Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of host, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied”.
He admonished the youth to do everything in the name of God, to have God fear not to join groups who are dispirited, thus do evil things; but to remain to be a source of blessing and tools in God’s hand like young David.
In the agenda, topics on situation of young people, objectives / proposal of youth care, drug abuse and prostitution were discussed.
There were lots of musical interludes, funs and jokes to entice the participants to be active, concentrate and follow-up the lectures for their best understanding.
Lot of questions about our doctrine, youth affairs and future development of youths were posed and answered in the meeting.
Food and drinks were served and they joyfully partook in every aspect of it and at the end planned to have another one scheduled to take place in Masiaka – outskirt of Freetown - early December 2016. It is always nice to see youths together in an effort to mode them to be good future leaders in the Church and their communities.
