The text was taken from Ephesians 4: 3-6: "Endeavoring to keep to unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all".
Apostle Sesay welcomed the members and well wishers with heartfelt thanks for the good attendance despite the heavy downfall of rain. He said it is a clear manifestation of their acceptance to the call of the Lord to help along in His work. He advised them to remain in this manner no matter what the circumstances might be.
The Apostle admonished the entire congregation to be united in the Spirit of the Lord, just as He is united with His Father in Heaven in order to be able to experience His peace.
To achieve this; Apostle said we should put the Lord at the centre of our faith and in all our undertakings and to attend the divine service regularly.
In the divine service he said: “We come in close contact with God in His word proclaimed at the altar; Roman 10: 17 – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - this will allow our faith to grow more and more.
We come in the eternal fellowship with the Lord through the Holy Communion; John 6: 54 – Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day”.
Apostle also admonished us as New Apostolic Christians that we should not claim to be better than other believers of other denominations who profess Jesus Christ as the son of God and baptized in His name, but rather we respect them as fellow believers and act as the body in Christ Jesus.
He concluded the service by reminding the entire Congregation not to be occupied with the things of this world but to put our attention in the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
One deacon for the Mafortai congregation in the same District. It was a divine and joyful moment of the Apostle’s service.
