A wedding service in Kailahun central church, East of Sierra Leone by Apostle Thaimu Kargbo.
It was a blessed moment on the 26th September 2020, when Apostle Kargbo conducted a wedding service of Mr. Mohamed Turay and his wife Mrs. Theresa Turay. Hymn A66, ‘To God, be the Glory’ was the opening hymn.
The Bible text was from Genesis 2:23 -24.
‘And Adam said: ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man’. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one’.
The Apostle stressed on few points for peaceful co-existence of husband and wife:
- The husband to take leading role like a good shepherd
- The wife to submit to the husband and husband to dearly love his wife for a peaceful home
- In decision making, the husband and wife should talk together in consultation so that their time and money will be used to strengthen and not to destroy the marriage
When charting with Apostle Kargbo, he made an emphatic impression of the impact the wedding has on the community:
‘Some members are now willing to enter into relationship because of the blessing at the altar. NAC is unique with a difference when it comes to liturgical dispensation. Kailahun is a community with a strong fellowship and our members are in a steady increase’ he concluded.
It was all geared towards maintaining lasting marriage relationship.
