The Apostle’s visit was prepared for Holy Baptism, Adoption, Holy Sealing and dedication/naming of a child.
Apostle Braima Saffa visited Lumley congregation, west of Freetown on the 18th October 2020, after his first service at Marjay Town congregation. The divine service started around 11:00 am- He was accompanied by District Evangelist Benson Alfred Sesay.
During the service, the child was baptized with two sisters; three souls were adopted and all together 12 souls were sealed. After the Eucharistic prayer, the Apostle asked District Evangelist Benson Afred Sesay to baptize the child and the two sisters. Then the Apostle thereafter adopted three souls and did the Holy Sealing.
He used a text word from the book of Exodus 15:2 – The Lord is my strength and my song, he has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise him, my father’s God and I will exalt him.
Apostle Saffa reminded all about the goodness of God for the plan of salvation. He advised to worship, praise and exalt him always for his grace and mercy etc.
He deeply emphasized on the importance of the sacraments and acts of blessings. He referred to the John 3:5 …’I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and spirit’. For the adoption, he instructed that the church make provision for those baptized of other denomination to become members of New Apostolic Church.
It was climaxed with the naming ceremony of the two months old boy child (Morie Robert Luke Sannoh) of the family of Priest Abdulai Kenawah Sannoh (Congregation Rector).
The divine fellowship was joyful and blessed to the glory of God.
