Welcoming District Apostle Ehrich and entourage
2 November 2021

District Apostle Michael Ehrich, accompanied by Leading Apostle Hans-Jürgen Bauer, from South Germany, conducted a festive divine service in Freetown Central Church, on the 31st October 2021 at 9:30 am. It was transmitted via YouTube to several countries and the national television.

God permitted the long awaited service in Freetown. West African (Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, and Liberia) Apostles and Bishops were present. Apostle Sanpha Sesay, Albert Garber, Thaimu Kargbo, Braima Saffa and Bishop Raymond Essequi – Sierra Leone; Apostle Martial Bangoura, Jules Beavogui, Marc Leno and Bishop Bonhando Tolno – Guinea; Apostle Jules Kouadio – Cote d’Ivoire and Apostle Alexander Wreh of Liberia.

Expressing the longing to have come to Sierra Leone, perturbed by covid 19, the District Apostle read a text word from Ephesian 4:15 “…but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ-’’

Difficult Circumstances
The condition of Ephesians is experienced now - philosophies / ideas, sickness, death, false prophets etc., but the District Apostle encourages us to be stable, strong and grow in faith. Jesus (real God/man) and the Holy Spirit make us understand/trust the true image of God – our loving father; who will make everything understandable in future fellowship with Him.

Truth and Life
In reference to Jesus, John 14:6 “… I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
We are to speak truth in love – they work together. When we talk with our children, friends, husband/wife etc., there should be good attitude to speak in truth and love. We stand by the conviction to believe, follow the examples in love and grow in the nature of Jesus.

The Nature of Jesus
Humans hardly live without food and growing requires nourishment. The food for the soul is the word of God, the grace, Holy Communion, inspiration of the Holy Spirit out of a festive divine service or normal one. Oneness is emphasized (no rejection), good heart to help especially the poor, promote justice, resist the devil, bring peace everywhere, be humble in bringing out our gifts, serve willingly in Christ’s manner. The District Apostle Ehrich reminds about the gradual process in growth like a child / plant. We do not stop growing in faith despite the age so as to be worthy for eternity.

Leading Apostle Bauer; whilst supporting the District Apostle, encourages all to take good care of the values we receive in the service of God. We are to strive forward and not backward in practicing God’s will: talking truth in love, grow in Jesus’ nature, bring peace and love in our neighborhood for good development in reality and love.
